On average, our defense has not been the issue. We have a less potent offense than when Mike James was running the show. The only guy that is consistently getting open looks is Jamario, because our opponents are letting him shoot, and Jose, who only really shoots off the pick.
Gone is our "raptor's basketball" swing of the basketball for the 3 ball that everyone knows is going in. This may be missing due to TJ's disruptive offensive style but it seems that opponents are staying home on our 3-point shooters.
Which means we have to take it to the hoop.
Andrea is suspect #1. We've seen him use his quick dribble drive a few times in the last few games, which is promising. I really do think that he's only just finding his endurance now. Hopefully that will result in a little more focussed rebounding as well.
Jamario needs to position and ready himself to explode the hoop on the catch. He shouldn't have to create on this team. Bosh, Bargnani, and Jose should be feeding him for dunks. We've seen a couple of nice dishes from Jose but Bosh and Bargnani haven't begun to take advantage of Moon's finishing ability.
Start looking for the secondary break. Our primary fast break is **** right now but we need to look at the trailers, especially Bargnani (who needs to be faster up the court) and Kapono.
