BTW, in my books they are in slightly right now, but on the 12 line. Just like last year.
A 10-8 record should be enough because that will mean some big wen down the stretch. If they go 9-9, they will need to win at least one game in the BE tourney against a team that is already in the tourney... and then wait it out.
The other thing we must remember is whether it is "real" or not, the numbers say they have played an excellent out of conference schedule (#16) this year as compared to #122 last year. But they still do not have the quality win, despite hte better numbers/
