i don't know if it's because the raptors are slept on or what, but calderon making the all-star game is a rumour that imo began and ended in toronto. it's either funny or disturbing.
i obviously don't care much about all-star nods. you could make a case for or against calderon and that's perfectly fine. i don't really have an opinion myself. but it's awfully convenient, to me, that the people most intent on having it appear like calderon is a shoo-in for this event are doug smith, chuck swirsky and raps tv. i often catch myself wondering if these guys report out of sheer bias (a want to believe) or objective truth (a real belief)- this would be exhibit A.
i don't know if i've even heard calderon going to new orleans mentioned by anyone outside of these few parties. and they (esp. smith and swirsky) were "so sure" of it (book it). kind of funny. but makes you wonder what else you're being fed that isn't terribly accurate. and
why. very weird.
