i don't think rip's going to win. his release is just not made for the shootout. He's a pretty good shooter when he has time to do his preparation on a wide open shot but his going to struggle to find that balance of shooting quickly and shooting accurately for the contest.

i think the dark hourse, if you can even call him that for this contest, is steve nash. we all know he's one of the most automatic shooters in the nba, but does he have the upper body strength of peja and kaponovich? smaller players usually start to get sore on their arms and legs on the last 2 racks.

Kobe could get hot and have a good round but it'll take more than just one good round to win against some of the best in the league. The favorites are Kapono and Peja, imo.
