It's all just baseless speculation though. That, in my opinion, doesn't go anywhere near helping to answer the question.

I could just as easily say that the Cavs with Kobe would be much better than the Cavs with Lebron, and the Lakers with Lebron would be much worse than the Lakers with Kobe.

Not only that, but it depends on how each player fits into the particular system. If you have a team with no shooters, you're better off going with Kobe. If you're on a team with no PG, you're better off going with Lebron.
