Anyways, don't tell me you guys wouldn't be excited if we traded JO--who has not played in a long time-- for someone who could contribute like Carter. Granted, we wouldn't be contenders, but we would be better and more entertaining. And O'Brien has a knack for turning players who don't care (like Antoine Walker) into good players. Carter is already an all star, so what could O'Brien turn him into?

I wouldn't be excited.. I'd seriously change my status from "Pacer fan" to "Granger fan" if we acquired a guy like Carter.
Besides what's the point of selling the future for winning 3-5 more games this season when if by some miracle we sneak into the 8 seed.. we're going to get pummeled by Boston or Detroit anyway? Wouldn't you rather build a team around young players like Granger and Shawne Williams? I know I would.
Had we traded for Carter - Granger's game by game improvement would end because Carter would start throwing up 25-30 shots a night. For once Bird did the right thing, intentionally or unintentionally.
Sidenote.. Antoine Walker has never been a good player. So I don't know what you're talking about here
