Re: Nets' Schedule / Playoff Chance

I think it all depends on their mentality at this point. They are sloppy right now. They look uncoordinated. Do I think that condemns their entire season? No. I still believe that they can do it, that they have the capacity.

I'm going to be rooting for a LONG winning streak, as long as we can make it over these last games. They need to turn it on NOW. I don't care who they're playing, they need to come out like their fighting for their lives. I don't even care so much if they win against Houston. If they can get one game on this trip where they play with the level of intensity and defensive mentality that we need, I will be happy.

We need Vince to turn it on. He needs to be mad. Someone needs to get in his face and motivate him. He's an amazing player when he just lets himself lose. He was trying last night. I was glad to see him and RJ taking it to the basket. But there needs to be more of that. They all need to stretch the floor and allow Carter and RJ to turn it on. We need those guys to perform well if we're going to win and ultimately make the play-offs.

Harris and Williams' jobs at this point should be to create for Carter and RJ. We could use their scoring, but we need them to get these two involved first and foremost. And Carter and RJ need to actively create for themselves too, and each other.

On a good note, it's important that Krstic is coming along. He's developing back to his old form. It's slow coming, but he's becoming more and more confident. They can't forget him either. He's a very important asset to this team when he's on. When he's on, it opens the floor for Carter and Jefferson. I say get Kurly going early.

"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever."
