Is Detroit really 'the team to beat' in the East?

It seems that even though we've won eight straight including a somewhat easy win over Detroit that people still aren't jumping off their bandwagon. What exactly is it about them that makes them the toughest team to beat in the East? Experience? I've never really been a big believer in experience. I mean, they lost to the Cavs and the Heat, two inexperienced teams with worse records than them. Who's to say they won't lose to an inexperienced team with a BETTER record? The fact is, playoff experience isn't all that helpful. It's just basketball, anything can happen.
