Are true bigs (centers) no longer good for college basketball?

The reason I ask this is because every time a true 7'0 player is playing in the NCAA tournament, they are always in foul trouble. Last year it was Greg Oden, this year it was Roy Hibbert and both Lopez twins. Next year, BJ Mullens and Greg Monroe come into college, but Monroe is more of a face up 4 man.

I know everyone keeps saying that college basketball is a guard's game, but I find it ridiculous that a big man can get called for 3 offensive fouls, two of which off of normal post ups. The refs call him for getting his elbows up, even when the big man is 7'2 and the man guarding him is 6'8. Of course his elbows would be by his head
I know it will seem like I am angry cause Georgetown lost and I am, but as someone who actually enjoys seeing big men in the game, it sucks that they are never allowed to play.

Even though I don't like DeAndre Jordan, if I am him, I declare for the draft just because they are never going to allow him to play without being in constant foul trouble.

The only 7'0 bigs who can succeed are the ones who strictly face the basket or are undersized because guys can't completely flop under you. Only in college basketball is a guy like Tyler Hansbrough more effective than Greg Oden.
