Re: Likely Trade Scenario? Josh Smith to Portland..

No info, just wondering what a Hawks fan would think. I know that Steve Smith loves Sergio...and I know he's just your announcer, but Sergio has played well against the Hawks this year, and in the past, there has been a lot of interest in Sergio from other teams. But he's been a disappointment this year for Portland.

Our GM, Kevin Prichard, has mentioned wanting to upgrade at SF, and get a good defender at that position. And it's obvious that we have some players who will be odd-men-out because we're adding Oden, Rudy F, and a #13 next year. You guys on the other hand, have an excess of wingmen.

If we don't do a trade, some valuable players will be walking for nothing. Travis Outlaw is also a great 6th man, but I'm not sure if he solves solves your problem of having too many wingmen. He plays better at PF, and would provide plenty of scoring for your team.

Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."
