Re: Johnson:Jordan has final decision on Vincent

http://www.charlotte.com/507/story/562663.html
I guess the rumor is that Jordan doesn't want to fire Vincent, but he might if Larry Brown chose to take the job.I guess that would be seen as a facesaving maneuver.Only thing this story really talks about was the travel debacle in Milwaukee during those huge winter storms.

Biggest problem I have with Vincent revolves around Raymond and McMinus.I realize that we lack personell, but we never had a problem at the SG position...We had Richardson and he could play 40 minutes a night so far as I'm concerned.Anyone who thought for a second that McInnis deserved to play one minute at the point INSTEAD of Raymond is automatically disqualified as a coach IMO.I'm not happy with Raymond's development or his consistency, but for better or worse he is the only decent point guard on our roster and the fate of this team is tied completely to his development. If Raymond could become a top tier point guard we have a decent chance at being competitive,if he doesn't we're completely ****ed.You have to live with that until the moment you are forced to make a decision on him.

Secondly the guy apparently can not commit to a plan.Raymond is an effective PG when the team is running...Otherwise not so much. This team has looked very good when it was committed to running.Obviously we lacked the depth to run as well as we'd like, but the only chance this team ever had was to stay committed to running. We have a really good rebounder who can start the break,we have a couple of guys who can really finish in transition...RIchardson can get open threes on the secondary break if the primary break fails...We have Raymond who's good at running the break.Aside from that we never had anything going for us....Why in hell did we put McInnis in at the point and start playing snailball.
