Boozer, Williams Among Best Dual Threats In League

Quote:
A combination of Utah's good shooting and limited minutes in Monday's rout of Washington gave Carlos Boozer few opportunities for rebounds, and he finished with a measly two, a stat that caught his attention as he headed to the showers after the 129-87 win over the Wizards.

"I'll have to make up for it on Wednesday," he said. "Watch out."

Preferably for him, he'll get enough rebounds and points to log another double-double performance that helps the Jazz beat Minnesota at EnergySolutions Arena.

The stat that means the most to Boozer is Utah's win-loss column, but he, like many players, whether they'll admit it or not, is mindful of his own. The one he pays particular attention to is one he is excelling in this season, finishing 50 games with double-doubles.

"You can win games in multiple ways, and I'd always rather have double-doubles than just a bunch of points," he said. "It's one of those things I'm proud of. I've been a double-double guy most of my career and for me, the way I get them, it usually means another possession for the team for us to take another shot or whatever, so it usually means I'm helping our team be successful."
