and yes i agree. vince has never been the hard worker kobe has been. but this offseason is the 1st offseason i can remember where vince worked hard. the day after they got eliminated, vince was shooting the gym. he took so many jumpers this offseason and Ian eagle did a little piece about it during the preseason. and his defense improved a lot this year. he played awesome defense on kobe this year.
i think vince will have a really good year next year. all the signs point there.

Well I agree and disagree with some of your stuff. If you look at their body types from 2000-01 (they are very very similar). If you were to chose one body type over the other u wouldn't know what to do, you actually can't say whose is superior it was that close. Both had extreme muscle definition etc, its just one body faded a bit faster- because of bulking up and leg injuries mostly. Carter from 2002-2004 - pretty injured individual. 2004 offseason -the one he wanted to leave, was the first one in a while that he got to do something.
Totally agree about your offseason stuff, I read about it as well- he did shoot a lot this year in the offseason, and he took wayyyyy less fadeaway jumpers, BUT he also shot less- which ultimately hurt the team. In the beginning of the season he passed up a lot of shots which he normally used to take. That hurt us quite a bit.
His defense Max on Kobe is nothing out of the norm. I don't know how Vince got named a bad defender (man to man), hes just a bad team defender (except when gets deflections and hustles). Carter whenever matched up against any solid 2 always tries hard on the defensive end. Whether its against Kobe, Pierce, Tmac, Ray Allen (harder to defend), Wade (was impossible to defend). And in the playoffs he tries even harder defensively (stephen Jackson's performance against nets or sprewell's against raptors). Carters biggest weakness on D is he doesn't give his opposition enough benefit of the doubt- gives them too much room unless they have a big name. Even this year Anthony Parker didn't sneak up on Vince. LAst year he did. NOT this year.
What Vince needs to work on:
1. Rehab the ankle and get his rest.
2. Work on the lateral quickness.
3. Work on the vert.
4. Work on the mid range game.
5. Work off screens.
6. Watch tape of every game.
