The rule doesn't need to be changed because they don't have sensors to start the clock right when the ball touches your hand. There is going to be that pause between when the player catches the ball and the timekeeper actually starting the clock. There is a human reflex. Only thing they could possibly do is change it to .3 instead of .4, but even then, you saw how long it took Kapono to get a shot off in .3 seconds. That was with no defense, from his chest, and a set shot. Not really realistic in the context of an NBA game. Cool video though.
