As much as I love Hedo, and I'm sure all of you do too, would it not make the most sense to trade him this offseason? I mean his value is probably at the highest it will ever go, and no one will want Rashard and his ginarmous contract. You could get a really good PG or PF for Hedo.
Just my 2 cents. I fully expect to get flamed for suggesting that, lol.

Um, Hedo is not going anywhere. It would be
RETARDED for us to trade Hedo. The only reason would be if he blatently says he doesn't want to be here or that he intends to sign elsewhere as a free agent. And the logic that we cant keep both him and Rashard because they play the same position is possibly even more retarded, especially coming fresh off of a 52 win season with them both in the starting lineup (amazing how people forget this).
I have thought about this. If we trade Hedo, then who will back up Rashard once we get that "true" PF?? We will have one real SF on the roster w/ NO backup

. So why trade Hedo when we can just work with what we have and add depth through the draft to solve our weaknesses. Add in Battie, Vazques(hopefully next year), a good free agent, and a draft pick and we could be legit contenders as early as next year. Hedo has a very reasonable contract, an outstanding skill set, and is our biggest playmaker but we should trade him?? Get outta here. I like the chemistry we have right now and our management would be stupid break that up.
I would be perfectly happy with resigning Evans and Dooling, throwing the MLE at Pietrus and using our first rounder on an aggressive, athletic, rebounding power forward. We can then let Arroyo and Garrity walk and maybe use JJ + a future 2nd rounder as trade bait to find some extra deapth at the PG position. maybe even try and bring in a veteran guy like J will or something.
Our line-up could look something like this:
Nelson, Dooling, J Will
Pietrus, Evans, Bogans
Lewis, Turk
Battie, Draft pick, Cook, Gortat
Dwight, Foyle, Battie, Gortat
I could work with that.
