Not a band, but I wish I could write like this. I honestly think Illmatic and Reasonable Doubt's lyrics are better than any poem I've ever read. Rap (this kind, not the kind portrayed by the media) to me can be potentially an advanced form of poetry.

I'm comin life on these streets ain't what it's supposed to be

Frontin like they, Big Willie but really owe *****z
Hoe *****z, this year I'm sho' *****z think I'm slippin

You was right *****z want you to be miserable wit em
