But didn't we just have two small guards with Harris and Terry? Let's not act like it's a foreign ideal. I know Iverson isn't the defender Harris was, but we always lost the point guard matchup defensively.

Offensively is where you'll see the advantage. When was the last time we had a great scorer who could bail us out at the point guard position? Nick Van Exel. We never replaced him, and we've needed "him", philosophically ever since we've lost him. I don't know how far we expect to get with a bunch of frontrunners who don't want the ball or constantly make chokeish moves down the stretch. I've been wanting AI as a Mav for years now.
Why not ? He is 33 now, who knows how much he has left in the tank, he has already declined over the past two years. We don't need more offense, we need a change of mentality defensively because stars are having a field day against us. That is not going to change with Iverson. Unless we get a superstar without having to give up Dirk we are going nowhere and since that is extremely unlikely or impossible there isn't much we can do.

The same goes for Denver though, they are set with this core unless they blow it up, nobody is going to take on the salaries of their role players.
