Also, once again, Gholston and Ellis were out of range at 8. They were taken 6th and 7th respectively. They weren't going to move up for anyone, but Matt Ryan. Blame the Steelers for this. Played their B and C team and Ravens won the last game. Probably would've picked 6th.

I'd grade the Ravens draft a B or B-. I originally gave it a C, but judging it as a whole, you can see where they were going and it all made sense. They didn't go for every need, they went for depth. This team had none.

Ray Rice will give us a good one-two punch with he and McGahee. This is a 2 back league and the Ravens have no one behind him. Smith is gone, Anderson was released. Unless, you want 5'6" Cory Ross as the back up? Yeah, I didn't think so. They also got a good pick later on in Allen Patrick, who could be the 3rd guy behind them or to very least a KR.

Tavares Gooden gives the team something behind Ray and Scott for now, and will be a potential starter down the line. Ray may only play a few more seasons.

At SS, Landry slipped a bit from his rookie season and there's literally NOTHING (seriously) behind him or even Ed Reed other than Jamie Winbourne. I could even envision Zbikowski taking the Landry's job eventually. Especially, if he plays the way he did last season. Not to mention, Reed is 29 yrs old.

Also, keep in mind, Ravens drafted OT Jared Gaither in supp draft last summer, and it only cost a 5th rder for this draft. They potentially have their future LT already on the roster. And I liked Cousins pick, it's some depth at OT or G. I don't know enough about Marcus Smith, David Hale, or Haruki Nakamura to comment. Justin Harper was a decent pick, not sure how he will contribute.

Ravens also traded a 4th rder for Fabian Washington, who's still 24. There's your CB.

Only gripe I have is the Flacco pick. I don't think it was the right choice to go with. I mean, if you're building for depth in this draft, and take a guy who's gonna need to develop a little? I don't know, Henne (or even Brohm) are more ready or will be more ready to play sooner and would've fit better based on how they drafted. Not to mention, they got a bad deal with Jax, and then Houston screwed Ozzie by saying "they think" someone will take Flacco.
ok but wheres the olineman to anchor us? jared gaither? i mean maybe if we get lucky but im not seeing it. its like we're stockpiling average olineman.
\i just hope grubbs is great. we need someone great on this line.

ok gholston and ellis were gone...
we still coulda had Keith Rivers,Ryan Clady,Brandon Albert,Jeff Otah,Leodis Mccelvin,cromartie,etc.

and still have gotten flaco.

i do think flaco will be ok. he can see well. he seems to be very accurate. hes got a great arm, and hes tall so he can put the ball over people probably. should be a good pick. but you never know. i dont think brohm or henne will be any better really... brohms just gonna be injured and looks like a dork. henne has no arm strength.

Depth is nice but not a neccesity when you have NEEDs. landry was still pretty good last year and hes still young. nbowski might be ok but there was no definite need there. i do like fabian washington though. that wasnt a bad trade.

everyone else i have no clue who they are. i just hope im surprised but they really dont look like anything special...

we coulda had this SAME EXACT draft with a 10-6 record. the thing about crappy seasons is your supposed to get really talented players early and we just traded away the worst season in franchise history...
