The NBA Tracks the Wrong Stats!

Fans and (some) players are too stat crazy. But in order to get a TRUE picture of an individual player's impact, the NBA should completely revamp the basis on which it tracks stats. The basis on which stats should be calculated is not per GAME, but MINUTES played. What is important is how productive players are when they are on the court! It would be infinitely more informative to base stats on MINUTES played. Is there any place that does this on an unofficial basis? How can fans get the NBA to make this long overdue change? This is really a no-brainer.
