Re: Tony Parker vs. Steve Nash

From an offensive standpoint, Parker may be faster, but Nash is the far superior shooter and passer. The fact that Parker can't shoot at 80% from the free throw line really stands out to me. While Parker isn't a slacker on defense, he's not exactly a stellar defender, and is able to (for lack of a better word) hide in the Spurs superior defensive system, whereas Nash plays in a system where his defensive flaws are not only exposed, but magnified to a great extent, as the Suns collectively are bad at defense, not just Nash. Spurs are quick to trap the primary ball handler on the opposing team, effectively double team, and still can recover. Having Tim Duncan, really a perennial DPOY candidate, as your anchor on defense doesn't hurt you either. Nash does give an effort on D and is very good at taking charges. He doesn't get nearly the same quality of help defense as Parker does (Bowen and Duncan/Thomas > Bell and Stoudemire/Shaq)

Nash > Parker. If Nash was drafted into San Antonio, I think they would have more championships, but that's just my opinion.

Kobe is not having Jordan's PPG because Kobe isnt selfish as Michael Jordan. He plays for the team where as Jordan played only for himself.
