No, because the minutes per game are still tracked, so it is still apparent that some players are achieving for longer spans than others. I admit it isn't perfect - that's why I said to begin with that some fans and even players are too preoccupied with stats. But here's where it would really be valuable: a veteran player. Even though his stats PER GAME decline (generally) as he ages, what about his minutes? To use scoring as an example, is he less efficient scoring 15 points in 30 minutes per game than he was scoring 21 in 42 minutes per game? NO! But if he is scoring 8 points in 30 minutes, he is less effective.
