Not right? We're debating about someone who's at best likely to be the 12th man. If Rodriguez has actual value off the court -- helping Fernandez to get settled in culturally, knowing better where to be and when, etc., it seems possible that that will help Fernandez on the court.
For that matter, the presence of Fernandez
might help get more out of Rodriguez, given their history, chemistry, etc. It seems to me that, unless Koponen
clearly outplays Rodriguez in summer league, that giving Rodriguez a bit more time only makes sense.
And yes, Hector, we've strayed some (though I said Kidd, initially). That said, it's pretty hard to come up with a comparison given how little we've seen him.
