Duncan has been consistent al throughout the decade.

And that is why I said Shaq or Kobe are the safest pick. Duncan was awefully good, no, he was great, but as I stated he never showed dominance like Jordan did. He was consistent througout their championship years but to me, I never saw him as that best player within the past decade, he's been top 3 in various years though. Shaq to me fits the criteria more because of his complete domination in the regular and post season, and just when you thought you've seen his best, Shaq played an even higher level in the Finals. Kobe deserves equal mention because he does have rings too, check the #'s, Kobe was clearly option 1B with the big fella and put out of this world numbers without Shaq as well. It has'nt even been a decade yet since Jordan officialy retired, and Kobe has a chance to close out his career this year with 4 rings which puts his name right next to Shaq and Duncan's territory with their amount of championships.
