He was NOT a leader at Syracuse. He was a freshman who happened to be their most talented player. Even then he was a shooter with a me-first-attitude. That was simply more successful on the college level where he was better than 90% of the players by orders of magnitude! PLUS his defensive deficiencies were hidden in Boeheim's zone defense.
