Re: andre miller
I'm pretty sure this is Andre Miller's last year on the Sixers, so the team will have to start preparing for the future without him. The Sixers are in a rough situation because Miller is in the last year of his deal and he's pretty much let it be known that he won't sign an extension. So do the Sixers move him before the deadline or do they chance losing him in free agency for nothing (or possibly for a sign and trade)?
The comment usually made for getting something done with Miller long term is that he doesn't have the game that will get worse as years go on because it's not based on athleticism. If the Sixers played a slower style of basketball I'd agree, but considering he's getting high end 30's or low 40 minutes a night the wear over an 82 game season is evident. At the end of this season he wasn't getting as much lift on his jumper, and was looking much slower. If that's how he looked after four months of running how will it be after a full season? Not to mention that running isn't really how Miller is used to playing.
It's something the Sixers will definitely have to consider.
