Just a thread for you to make some trade's, even if they havent been talked about in real life, get your idea out there and see what people think of it.
My Trade Idea:
Heat 2008 1st Round Pick (Guaranteed top 4)
for
Why this works for the Heat:
Obvious isnt it? We pair Wade with another young star in Anthony - yes we would lose our top pick and an All-Star - but Wade would have his reliable second option and could help keep Carmelo inline. The Heat would be back in the playoffs and could bring an element of small ball (Wade, Wright, Anthony) that would be very nice to watch. Hunter is mainly included for salary reasons, but he could be a reasonable 15 minutes guy IF healthy. Think a poor man's Sam Dalembert. Debatable whether they would be any better than the current Nuggets lineup though. Lineup would be:
PG - Jason Williams (20)/ Chris Quinn (15)/ Daequan Cook (13)
SG - Dwyane Wade (38)/Daequan Cook (10)
SF - Carmelo Anthony (37)/Dorell Wright (11)
PF - Udonis Haslem (34)/Dorell Wright (14)
C - Mark Blount (20)/Zo (18)/ Hunter (10)
Why do the Nuggets do this?:
Very debatable that they would, however thats the whole point of this thread. Its feasible, they may look at blowing that team up - I cant see them being a major player in the Western Conference as they are currently and perhaps a change is in order. I did read they will be listening to offers for Carmelo, doesnt mean they will trade him, but if the price is right...Debatable if they would be THAT much worse off at all - Marion would add a reliable defensive stopper and still keep with their uptempo offense. Can he score 30 a night? No, but he could help them win more games - plus be a bargaining chip for a midseason trade opportunity. They would get the potential first pick in the draft also, which give the Nuggets Beasley or Rose. If they did this trade, their lineup would be:
PG - Derrick Rose (?)/ Anthony Carter
SG - Allen Iverson/JR Smith
SF - Shawn Marion/Linas Kleiza
PF - Kenyon Martin/Nene
C - Marcus Camby/Nene
Just interested to hear people's thoughts and other potential trade ideas we COULD explore this offseason. Let em rip.
