If I lay my bag down a certain way, the books put weight on my laptop. Over time, the weight of the books weaken the structure of the screen and top frame. If my bag tips over a certain way, the impact shakes the interior parts of the computer. Now, I don't handle my laptop with precise care every minute and every second. How do you treat your gear? I bet it differs from the way I treat mine.

Laptops were meant to be carried. So what you are describing does fall in the realm of the average consumer. I mean do you honestly think that you are the only person out of that 30,000 (could be more than that, but let's stick with 30k) that carries their laptop in a bag with books? Granted you might be carrying math textbooks while another guy might be carrying chem books, in the end people do carry their laptops around. At least the difference is negligible. If you have a habit of using your laptop while jumping off a cliff, then perhaps you have a point.

-Well, it depends on the doctor doesn't it? It depends on what he does during the surgery. Depends on the procedures he completed, and the mistakes he made. Does he operate the exact same way, every patient, every day? Can he? It isn't scripted.

You're not answering my question. You can switch the hospital part of my example with doctors and you would be faced with the same question. You are telling me that because of your pseudo logic, you would ignore these stats because they wouldn't apply to you because you are different from everyone else. I mean how do you know it depends on the doctor? If the patient that goes into open heart surgery also has aids or diabetes, chances are he'll be more likely to die than let's say Lebron James if Lebron needs open heart surgery. Maybe you have a heart defect when you were born. Maybe your heart is allergic to everything. The possibilities are endless. This is all stemming from your logic.
Well, you know what, if you think like Chan, then ignore what has been said in this thread. I have a feeling that most people who understand how things work would think differently.
