Personally I would like to have him back. I think he may be asking for a little too much and I don't feel he's worth too much. He really showed flashes of brilliance especially towards the end of the season, he could really be the difference maker in the team because he's a legitimate 7 footer in this period of center depravation. I would love to have him back but not if it means having to pass on guys like Brand, Odom etc. because we don't have enough money because we are over the cap. I think he should go ahead and play this season out and if he really shows consistent good pla6, improves in his post moves etc., and shows he is the 2nd best center in the NBA without a doubt. I will be happy with that and I think we should reward him with a nice pay day but not a max contract, but if he lowers his rate some we should sign him now.

What are your thoughts on the situation?
What do you think he should be paid, do you even want him back

I think the Kandi Man is a decent Center. He should continue to improve and put up productive numbers. He's a very big help upfront with Brand, especially out West, but I think he's stretching it out a bit by asking for the MAX.

IMO - he's not a MAX player. He had a very impressive year last season, but he has yet to prove he can carry or lead the Clipps into the playoff's and put up consistant stats every game. His numbers were up and down last year and at times, his desire and attitude looked questionable??. Kandi and his agent are soo caught up with his improved performance from last season of average stats, that they feel they can just demand for the Max??....It just doesn't work that way. I'd like to see Kandi back with the team under a reasonable contract and it would be a difficult season if nothing is agreed upon, it can really disrupt their entire season and the rest of the players as well.

Kandi has a lot to prove for the big prize and one year of an improvement will not catch Sterlings attention or maybe other GM's. Rashard Lewis is another example of this type of scenario.

Elton is a MAX acception, A young leader, Consistant Double-Double player, Works very hard on both ends of the floor, an All-Star and can make the big basket or plays in a big game. I believe they are locked on him, but they'd like to see if they can iron out Kandi's situation.

I really enjoy watching the Clipp Joint, and I really like this team a lot... just as much as some of you.
I just hope for the best and hopefully they keep things in place, cause they are ready to step it up.
