Columbia, SC. The ABA Columbia Rottweiler basketball team today announced that they will be holding Open Tryouts on Saturday, June 10th in Columbia, South Carolina. The Rottweilers are looking to fill a 12-man roster for the 2006-2007 ABA season.
President and GM, John Wannamaker said, "Columbia and the surrounding areas have enough talent to create a professional basketball team. I've played with many of them and the pool of talent is phenomenal."
The Rottweilers will begin play in the ABA starting in November. The cost for the tryout is $100 in advance, $150 at the door. Registration is required and all fees are non-refundable. To register, you may download the registration application from the following link:
