Question from Marty G, Chicago (and many others): "Will you be adding stats to the ABA web site next season?"
Answer: Marty (and others): Thank you for the question(s). The answer is yes, we will. One of the standards and requirements of participation in the ABA next season will be for the teams to provide stats for our growing legion of fans. While many of the teams did supply stats last season, some didn't - and we made the decision not to post partial stats on the ABA web site, instead suggesting that people go directly to their team's web site. This year, we are going to re-do the system and make it easy for all teams to provide their stats - and we will consolidate them and post them on the ABA web site (
www.abalive.com). With 60+ teams and over 700 players next season, it should be very interesting. And as you know, we have some great talent in the ABA. I probably received as many complaints about not having stats on the ABA web site as any other issue. It will be a subject of the ABA League meeting in Chicago on Saturday. It is very comforting to know how many fans are interested and how supportive they are of the ABA. One of Brad Hester's responsibilities as the new ABA VP of Team Operations will be to make sure that we get and post the stats. Thank you all for your interest. If you have a question, email
