Re: Lance Armstrong to face formal doping charges by USADA

The right move for Armstrong imo. Even if he does fight it and win the case people would still be just as suspicious, he has nothing to gain at this point. The sport is full of cheaters anyway. Even if he did cheat he still was the best out of all the cheaters. The guy already made his money, just walk away and enjoy it.

Biggest joke of a punishment in all sports.

If they award the title to the runner-up chances are that guy used PEDs as well.

Take Diables and multiply by 10.

He goes from god of the sport to a cautionairy tale. The fact you don't understand that, and even worse applaude drug use in sports is disgusting.

Another worthless chump from BC. You guys are a joke,

Of course cycling is dirty and has been for years, but call me crazy, I still don't think that makes it excusable.

It doesn't.

I don't like cheaters, but I can get over that. What I absolutely detest is fake, lying sacks of shit like Armstrong. Not only lying, but in a condescending tone for years. If he came out when the accusations fist started and said "Yes. I cheated. But the majority of racers do. We really need to either make it legal or clean up the sport." I'd applaud him. But he didn't. He lied for years, trying to sound hurt and looking down his nose a people.

Lance can go **** himself.

If racing is that dirty though, they either need to allow certain legal PED's, or clean the ****ing sport up.

We're in a world now where its basically impossible to compete as a regular man.

The only thing cycling related the average sports fan cares about is the Tour de France. We're now at 10 of the last 17 winners being stripped of their title, and I don't think anyone would be shocked if that number increased over time. The sport of cycling is in shambles, they're trying to clean it up but the doping is simply more advanced than the testing at this point.

After all the hoopla surrounding him, Armstrong was not a better rider than the others; he just knew how to get his cheating go unnoticed.

**** Armstrong.

I feel bad for him. Lance has done SO much good for this world with Livestrong and his work with cancer charities but people are acting like he murder someone because he took steroid which everyone does in cycling. I do think he should have just came out and admitted it but Lance has done so much good for this world where Vick kills dogs and everyone forgives him and Tiger cheats on his wife with every women in the known world and people forgive him

Lance has had people defending him the whole way because of his cancer work. And lets not act like people let Vick or Tiger off the hook and there wasn't the same media storm surrounding them.

Everything Lance accomplished in cycling was from him lying and cheating his ass off to get there. His cycling legacy should be seen as a joke to everyone. That being said, it doesn't take away from the amazing cancer work he's done. And I don't think it will.

Lets not try to give him a free pass though because of that. He's a filthy cheater who at times literally dared the authorities to come after him. He was so cocky and ignorant about it that I'm taking joy in his fall. He's a ****ing cheater. His charity work for cancer is almost without peer, but he as a professional athlete is a joke.

Re: Lance Armstrong to face formal doping charges by USADA

Im not even sure Livestrong is above reproach in all of this. It appears to me that Livestrong was really a marketing phenomenon powered by a liecycle. They really only claim to raise awareness of cancer. Who isn't aware of cancer? Im going to have to see about finding numbers on exactly how much is donated to research instead of just spent on branding...I mean awareness.

Also Im not sure any professional athlete let me down more. I don't even think PEDs should be disallowed at this point, but the guy was so damn adamant about it.

If LiveStrong just supposedly "raises awareness" and doesn't donate it all to charity, then yea, I agree, all the money should be given back. I mean big ****ing deal. I know what cancer is. I assumed the money went to cancer research all these years.

If that's not the case and its just profit going to Armstrong, I'm mad enough to want to see the guy dead. Hopefully you're wrong though. I'm pretty sure a lot of it goes to research.
