Duke Fans Live Out Fantasy at Coach K Academy

Durham — Some basketball-star wannabes are getting a couple of floor burns this week under the watchful eyes of Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski and some well-known past Blue Devils.

About 80 campers from across the country have paid $10,000 a piece for the five-day Coack K Academy, where they are treated like authentic Blue Devil athletes – drills and all – by the Hall-of-Fame basketball coach and former players like J.J. Redick, Chris Duhon and Jay Williams.

Cornell to play Duke in nationally televised game

Cornell will visit legendary Cameron Indoor Stadium on Sunday, Jan. 6, in a game that will be nationally televised by FOX and dubbed the Atlantic Coast Conference Game of the Week, Donahue said Tuesday. Also, following a one-year hiatus, the Big Red will play Syracuse at the Carrier Dome on Dec. 22. Donahue said the official schedule will be released in the next couple of weeks.

Let's just get it out of the way now-anyone who thinks the Blue Devils will be better off without Josh McRoberts is crazy.

Will they be better than they were last year? Probably. But that's because of a year of experience and development, not to mention a Sean May-sized chip on the team's collective shoulder. With McRoberts, this team would be a Final Four contender from the get-go.
