The blog above mentions Barea. The blog below mentions the Albany Lehigh game.

Hooptime 3.0 (Which covers all sorts of Pennsylvania basketball. Good read.)

BUTerrier,

Very interesting viewpoint on the Albany game with Lehigh last evening.

Thanks again for the link.

That article about the Albany/Lehigh game may have been one of the worst pieces of journalism I have ever stopped reading after 6 paragraphs. Its amazing some people get paid to write that crap. I'm referring to the link to that guy Sokoloskis column. Not the hooptime 3.0 writer.

I had the chance to read the feature article on Barea written by Kyle Whelliston (MMBOW#3, 11/29/04).

He states that JJB is still undecided on a major. The truth is that Barea is 52 credits short of a Sociology B.A.

Whether he stays in Northeastern to get his degree is another question.

Doesn't it take a full 5 years to earn a degree from NU with the whole co-op system?

Will -

You don't technically "Have" to do co-op. You can get your degree without it in 4 years, although the University doesn't really promote the idea. If Barea were to leave school, play pro ball somewhere and come back I bet they'd find some reason to call his playing pro basketball co-op. ;-)

Trust me, having met JJB's parents and family, I'm sure he'd get his butt kicked by his mom if he wasn't keeping up with his grades. I've mentioned this before, but both of his parents are highly educated. He has one brother at least who is pursuing a medical degree in the Northeast.;
