Vermont has offered 6'11'' 210lb Center Matt Wilson from Raleigh, NC for the 2009 class. Scout.com says he's a project that has been steadily improving and could develop into a high-major prospect. His father played in the NFL. Clemson, Richmond, and South Carolina have offered in addition to Vermont. Florida, Wake Forest, NC State, and UNCW have shown interest.
2009 Vermont target Candon Rusin is playing again for the Albany City Rocks AAU team. One of his teammates is Jordan Stevens, has been offered by Albany, Providence, URI, Siena, and Western Kentucky and a bunch of teams are showing interest like Pitt, UMass, Rutgers, Seton Hall, and St. Joe's
Another teammate is 6'9'' South Kent prep player Jin Soo Kim who has already committed to the University of Maryland.
I may have to scratch that last thought. I forgot the semi-literate Willie Babcock is expressing interest in UVM. That could shift the entire balance instantly.
I do have to disagree with haggyland's comparisons there...
Clarke and Young were both named by Rivals.com to be the best players at their positions for the incoming class for the America East. And I'll take Clarke over Aronhalt anyday of the week on paper... Clarke had 51 offers and turned down Vanderbilt, St. Joes...Not to mention that he's 6'7" and built like a tank.

Just trying to fan some rivalry flames in the quiet off-season (even if those are all 2008 recruits, and not 2009.)
Clarke and Young appear to be impressive, but over at UA there is a considerable amount of optimism for their class. Maybe we should revisit this in four years...
