Re: Outbound Transfers Catch-All Thread
Malik Alvin -- D2 Shaw
Corey Chandler -- D3 William Paterson DJ Rivera surfaces at the University of Montevallo. That's a D2 school in Georgia for those not familiar with the Falcons. DJ Rivera -- Montevallo Falcons This, of course, begs the question -- How many other players who declared for the 2009 NBA Draft will be playing in the Peach Belt Conference in 2011-12? Re: Outbound Transfers Catch-All Thread
As long as we're looking at Binghamton's past...
Theo Davis played in 2009-10 for Rogers State -- an NAIA school in Oklahoma -- but did not return there for his senior season last year. Davis is playing 2011-12 for (drum roll please...) Brock University (St. Catherines, Ontario). Brock has already played exhibitions Murray State, North Florida, Duquesne and Niagara (only beating Niagara) and Davis seems to have put up pretty good numbers. 2011-12 Brock Badgers team roster |

Re: Outbound Transfers Catch-All Thread
Those four ex-Bing players began their careers at:
Gonzaga, UTEP, Rutgers, and St. Joe's That's a long way to fall. That said, DJ Rivera is going to destroy whatever D2 league that is in Georgia. He could have played for a BCS school pretty seamlessly.

For those of you who didn't have the pleasure of seeing Davis on the court for Binghamton, it looked as if he was playing basketball for the first time in his life. |

Re: Outbound Transfers Catch-All Thread
![]() Recognize the guy on the bottom left? Akron was picked second in the MAC preseason poll. They tip off tonight in their only exhibition. I'll be rooting for Chauncey and Akron. I truly hope he's happy as a Zip. |

Re: Outbound Transfers Catch-All Thread
Business is off to a slow start for Chauncey in his Akron debut- only played 7 min, but he did score 4pts.
Akron looks like a very, very good mid-major though- they beat Mississippi State. Lot's of good guards on that team and the Akron coach seems to go with the guys that play defense.

Re: Outbound Transfers Catch-All Thread
I'm sure he's going to play more as the season goes on- but it's obvious he's going to have to commit to defense in order to. Akron is very deep at his position. I was really impressed by Diggs- very smooth in transition and took smart shots. Their point guard Alex Abreu had 6 steals- very good.
