Not AE-related, but Evan Smotrycz from Michigan is transferring. No idea why as he got quality minutes at Michigan and they seemed pretty successful this season.

It's noteworthy because he's from Reading, MA and played at New Hampton school. Wonder if he wants to play closer to home?

Hope he at least considers BU and that Jones reaches out to him. Could be a good fit if he's looking to come back home.

* Smotrycz, freshman guard Carlton Brundidge and sophomore Colton Christian all are leaving Michigan.

* Duquesne starting point guard T.J. McConnell has decided to transfer, leading a wave of Duquesne players to leave the team, including Mike Talley and Danny Herrera.

When several players from a team transfer, you wonder why. Anything to raise an eyebrow in their stated reasons for leaving?

Interesting, I wonder where he lands.

Jeff Goodman from CBS will hopefully put out his end of the year transfer list. Goodman probably doesn't know it, but that list is the most valuable thing he does.

He tweeted the other day he was working on it.

I like Goodman, but all he writes about now for CBS is the BCS schools. Same stuff hundreds of other writers write about- it's hardly anything new or original/interesting.

When he was at the previous places he did a lot more mid-major work. It's probably a mandate from his new employer.
