Agreed, except for one. I think this list absolutely needs to include Bing's former G Dylan Talley, currently 15.6ppg for Nebraska. Oh what could have been... |

Definitely! I wasn't sure if he was still playing or graduated.

Re: Outbound Transfers Catch-All Thread
Saw a couple AE transfers play over the weekend on TV- Logan Aronhalt from Maryland vs Virginia Tech and Jake O'Brien from Temple against Kansas.
Aronhalt looked really good for Maryland. Whatever past injuries he's had seem to be gone now- he played 16min, scored 7pts, grabbed 3 boards, and blocked a shot on a Maryland guard trying to drive. Seems to have found a real nice niche on that Maryland team- experienced shooter off the bench. O'Brien didn't really get much action and involvement against Kansas- but it's Kansas, probably not the best match-up for him.

Re: Outbound Transfers Catch-All Thread
Yeah, Dylan Talley was real nice. Would have been an All-AE player for sure. Nebraska isn't the best BCS team but Talley can play at that level.

Re: Outbound Transfers Catch-All Thread
Jordan Clarke had 7pts and 6 boards in Drake's 74-69 upset win over #17 Creighton/Doug McDermott. In the previous meeting Creighton beat Drake by 30pts, so needless to say this is a surprising, huge huge win for Drake.

Re: Outbound Transfers Catch-All Thread
Speaking of transfers, it's become pretty clear that Lonergan convincing Kopriva to follow him to George Washington was a mistake for all parties, basketball-wise. Kopriva is playing less as a sophomore than he did as a freshman, and I don't see this changing as the kid is over matched athletically in that conference, and Lonergan needs to start getting some Wins there.
Not sure how important basketball is to him, but does he think about transferring after this season? Maybe he really likes GW and is happy with a role on the bench for a rebuilding A10 team. If he wants to transfer, seems like Vermont/AE would make a lot of sense. I also know he wants to go to Med School and UVM College of Medicine is one of the best/toughest schools to get into in the country. Wonder what other people think, or if it's not even worth thinking about/ that ship has sailed.

Re: Outbound Transfers Catch-All Thread
I don't have any problem with his transferring to UVM. As a high school player, he was recruited by Lonergan, who then gave him a chance at a higher level of play. There was never any indication that his decision meant he didn't like UVM, and he is still a good player at the AE level. It would be Becker's call as to whether Kopriva still fits with team going forward.

Re: Outbound Transfers Catch-All Thread
Pretty sure I've read a couple of articles that said he was excelling in med school at GW and having a great time in college. Maybe he would want to transfer for more playing time somewhere but sometimes sports aren't the only reason people stay or go.

I'm also just thinking ahead for what the class is going to do in 2014, because we're facing a "recruit cliff" with 6 kids graduating. I can't imagine we bring in 6 freshmen.

Re: Outbound Transfers Catch-All Thread
Meanwhile, time has marched on and it looks like Keegan Hyland still hasn't played in a game for Bentley.

I guess another question would be if lonergan/GW would let it happen after the stipulation that Four couldn't go there when we released him... |

Re: Outbound Transfers Catch-All Thread
Replying b/c I realized I didn't answer, but Kopriva had a signed LOI and we had to release him so he could go to GW, so presumably he was comfortable with the academic/social part of his commitment to UVM.
