Many members of the New England Coaching Fraternity (and others outside of New England) think that Amaker's recruiting tactics at Harvard have been Everhart-esque, and that he got a free pass from the NCAA and Harvard for what he did when he got there.
He's also a bit arrogant, and rubs people the wrong way.
Okay... so it's a combination of recruiting tactics and overall attitude toward other people. I wasn't sure if there was a specific incident or something.
Scheduling-wise, one team I'd like to see the Terriers play on a regular basis is Saint Joseph's. Wasn't on the schedule last year, but Chambers is from Philly so it seems like a logical fit (to me, anyway), and if anything about scheduling BU in the past rubbed Martelli the wrong way I haven't heard about it.
This may have already been posted elsewhere, but according to the K-State schedule release, the teams competing with Boston U in the Puerto Rico shootout are: Kansas State, Dayton, George Mason, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Mississippi and Villanova.
Pretty good company.
Yeah... we'll be lucky to take one game that weekend.
Sr. Velez, I'm thinking about heading down for it - is it a problem that I don't speak Spanish??

Yeah, it was the specific incidents involving Kenny Blakeney the recruting of Max Kenyi, Frank Ben Eze that got Harvard in trouble, and Amaker's overall attitude towards it.

Thanks for the info... I generally don't hear a whole lot of the recruiting end of things (although I try to do my homework once I hear somebody signed), so I'm not particularly familiar with the specifics when it comes to Amaker.
Of course, it's not Wolff & Co. drawing up the schedule this year, so all I have to go on for guessing BU's schedule is educated guesses. Personally, I like seeing the Terriers play one of their road games at Harvard, if only because it's an easy trip for me, but if Chambers doesn't put Harvard on the schedule next year it's understandable (besides, the Terriers would be hosting this year, so I don't reap any of the scheduling benefits).

Basically, Amaker sent two former players down to play pick-up games with Kenyi which is a recruiting violation and did some other below-the-board things with Ben Eze. I don't recall the names of the players that visited Kenyi but you'd definitely recognize their names.
Not so subtly - because technically his "friends" who were later hired as coaches were not acting "on behalf" of Harvard.
And if you believe that, you'll also believe I have a tattoo of Rhett the Terrier on my left butt cheek.
Don't think that the Ivy Group had something to do with this being swept under the rug.
We all know that was a crock of BS when Amaker got outed. How Amaker gets a (to some) Top-25 class to come to Harvard after a year or so at the helm is suspect at best.
Please add Quinnipiac at home for UNH on NOv 30th and the Brack Buster on Feb 20th. Thank you
Sorry! From looking at the Quinnipiac Website it seems i was incorrect about the UNH game. Please remove from the schedule. Guess CollegeSportsnet is not always correct lol!

Are you sure of that date? Quinnipiac currently lists a game at NAVY on that date. However, QU has just 10 non-conference games listed, so they are missing one.
Updated, but unofficial QU non-conference schedule:
Nov 13 - Hartford (Harbor Yards)
Nov 18 - at Lehigh
Nov 21 - at Yale Nov 24 - vs Maine
Nov 30 - at Navy
Dec 02 - at UMass
Dec 09 - vs Brown Dec 13 - at Vermont
Dec 22 - vs Columbia
Dec 29 - vs Dartmouth
On 12/13, the UVM women are purportedly hosting OSU @ 2:00, so the 1:00 men's game against Quinny doesn't seem to fit. Perhaps the time for one of the games has been/will be changed to produce a decent doubleheader. Otherwise, something's amiss.
