Re: John Holland: "Not Coming Back Next Year"
Also, Olympiakos has a budget of around USD 60 mm (as of 2008-09)

As an aside, AE players need to use Lynn Greer's agent. He did a phenomenal job getting him that kind of contract.

Re: John Holland: "Not Coming Back Next Year"
I blame Dane Dilegro for even mentioning Olympiakos. Before that it was up for debate/legitimacy.
John may have gone to CGS, but this should've come on the proper calendar day.

I loved Lynn Greer when he was at Temple, but there are a lot of Lynn Greer's out there.
The objective for an agent is to maximize his players value. For Greer to be making the money he is in Europe...clearly his agent has done his job and has earned his commission. He's the kind of agent I would want.

Lynn didn't make that money until after his stint in the NBA - and while his agent certainly did a great job, a lot of it has to do with the fact that Greer has continued to produce at the highest levels of Europe... Europe is a strange animal, and some really amazingly talented players have gone over there and flamed out (not been able to produce for whatever reasons: isolation from friends/fam, cultural barriers, difficulties adjusting to the game), while other lesser talents have lit it up...

BTW, where are you seeing the actual details of Greer's contract on there?

Re: John Holland: "Not Coming Back Next Year"
Isn't the "You don't know me and my family situation!" rant what Elton Brand said to the Duke student in those emails that were famously made public? That's what gave it away to me. Besides, if he had done this tomorrow, it wouldn't have lasted a second before someone pointed out it is April 1.
Back to my earlier question - has anyone ever left BU, or the America East conference for that matter, early to go pro in any league?

It's not on that specific link, I just know about Greer's contract from elsewhere.

I've only mentioned Greer because he's a guy that's clearly done all the right things to earn a salary like that.

Re: John Holland: "Not Coming Back Next Year"
This, by the way, is totally awesome. John Holland just picked up 3 cool points. Honestly, I hope this is the beginning of a trend of the dissemination of false info by athletes on Twitter/Facebook. I've grown tired of "social media" becoming a primary source.

Updated. We still got owned. Well, I got owned.
He posted something saying that he got some coaches too. Coaching staff I'm sure was non too pleased to wake up to that.

Passing off false info about your self on Facebook to mess with people = Cool Points
Passing off false info about others on Facebook and hiding behind the Internet = UnCool Points
