Re: 2012 America East Recruiting Thread
Just wanted to say something, re: three southern VT kids on the roster. I think this is great. As a Chittenden County native, I've lived in the UVM bubble basically my whole life. But I've often thought there was a bit of a disconnect between loyalty to the university and people in the southern part of the state (i.e. they don't travel up for games, media exposure is limited, they are physically closer to other colleges/universities, etc.). The good news over the years is that the best players in VT tend to come from northern VT, and Chittenden County specifically. But I'm glad that when there is some southern talent available, it's finding its way up I-91 or Route 7 into Burlington.

Re: 2012 America East Recruiting Thread
Info on 3 incoming AE recruits from NERR. Should be disclosed that the owner of NERR is also the HS coach of John Papale at Choate so....naturally Papale #1 and yeah, no bias there
![]() Biggest Mid-Major Steals 1. John Papale, Boston Unviersity – Facts are facts. NEPSAC Class A MVP, NEPSAC Class A Tournament MVP, school’s all time leading scorer, 46% career three-point shooter, 25 division I offers, 8 Atlantic 10 offers and he committed to a school in the America East Conference. 2. Ethan ODay, Vermont – The Catamounts locked O’Day up early and it was a good thing. He had an Atlantic 10 offer to his name at the time but that would have been just the tip of the iceberg given his phenomenal senior season and spot on the NEPSAC AAA 1st Team. 3. Ahmad Reid, Stony Brook – He had a record setting high school career in the region and yet most New England fans still don’t know his name. Word is that he had a great summer session at Stony Brook and may be poised to make immediate contributions in the America East. http://www.newenglandrecruitingrepor...ge-on-2012.php

The thing I really like about Adam Finklestein is he was an asst at Hartford so he does know the AE conference. |

I like him too, he and his teams at NERR provide great information- that was more TIC than anything- but of course he'd pick Papale #1, he was his coach.

Re: 2012 America East Recruiting Thread
Just saw this story this morning on Binghamton adding a late signing. I saw him a few times during his Senior year ('11), and he's a lean scorer who can shoot the 3-ball. Dempsey is adding talent and I expect that Bing. will continue to add Philly/NJ kids moving forward:

Re: 2012 America East Recruiting Thread
Does anyone know for sure which Binghamton players have transferred out of the program? We know that Dickinson went to Loyola Marymount. Did Chris Longoria and Omar Richards definitely transfer? Any others?

That said, sounds like a nice addition for Bing. I know some people in Collingswood, will have to ask around.

Re: 2012 America East Recruiting Thread
He can most definitely put the ball in the basket, which is what (among many things) Bing needs. I would expect him to see time immediately, as I'm not aware of anyone on their current roster that can score the ball from the perimeter. Although he's a Frosh, like many these days, he's had an extra year to mature. Dempsey will definitely bring in better talent.....also, the reason for not being qualified was because of the school he attended in his Jr. year, not because the young man is not smart/good student.

Re: 2012 America East Recruiting Thread
Pretty crazy we had Spike Albrecht on campus to visit. Wouldn't need to be looking for a PG now or in 2014.
