Re: 2013 America East Recruiting Thread

In the "not sure exactly what this will mean for UVM" department ex-Catamount former Marist player Ryan Schneider has been added to the coaching staff at Northfield Mount Hermon.

Probably not great for George Washington.

I love it but would love it even more to see UNH sign one of these kids. But the recruiting has appeared on paper to be getting better as of late for Herrion and his staff.

Re: 2013 America East Recruiting Thread

It's probably deeply buried in this thread, but do any of the schools already have some 2013 kids that have committed already? I thought I remembered a couple.

Stony Brook has the former 2012 Wagner commit Kameron Mitchell joining the program next year.

No disrespect, but we didn't offer him. We were a finalist for Westtown's center, Daniel Ochefu who we thought we would get and ended up at Villanova. I dont really care what Alex said, as good of a job as he does. We're in on several MUCH higher regarded recruits than Yiljep.

Neither do I. His information is average, at best.

Re: 2013 America East Recruiting Thread

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Kline get a lot of information directly from kids and other secondary sources out on the web and just seems more like an aggregator, so it's never going to always be accurate? And with the amount of tweets, I can't believe he has the time to verify accuracy with coaches- if he even has relationships with all those coaches. A recruit could just get a letter from a school and say he's been offered by them.

I'm all for Kline getting his name out there and monetizing his website, but I went over there once and he has some stuff on NMH kids taking visits which was lifted right off the NMH twitter...and it was behind his pay wall. Umm, yeah- no thanks. Not paying for information that is available for free.

That all being said, it's a great resource to see what's going on because he *only* talks recruiting and transfers- that's it, unlike a lot of other bloggers that mix in BCS school crap, NBA crap, and whatever else- so he has a great niche. He doesn't tend to be wrong when it comes to UVM either, so that will keep me looking.

Being a huge UNH hoops fan it is fun during the summer months to read about playes we are looking looking at according to Kline. Is he right all the time I have no idea I'm just a regular UNH fan I have no high level connections across the NCAA lol. But besides making you pay for information I like his site.
