Re: 2013 America East Recruiting Thread
Per NMH Basketball Twitter, Sam Donahue to walk-on at BC. Good move for him as he'll end up playing minutes there.

Re: 2013 America East Recruiting Thread
He took an unofficial visit to UVM, but we never offered him. I don't think he held a D1 scholarship, and if your choices are to walk on at Marist, Q-Pac, or BC it's kinda a no-brainer.

Re: 2013 America East Recruiting Thread
Roland Nyama signed his letter of intent today. He and Kameron Mitchell are the two on board for next year for Stony Brook. That leaves two openings if I count correctly. At this point SB has no pressing needs so can be very selective and can really reach and wait out the last two spots. Would not surprise me if they keep one for a JUCO 4. Just my opinion the other need is a 3. A Brenton replacement would be ideal - but need someone who can guard a combo player. There is no one on the roster like that right now.

BU target 6'7'' PF Rodney Williams from Virginia has committed to Drexel over St. Bonaventure per Recruit Scoop. BU needs to add someone with size like that and will have strong nucleus for Patriot League.

Re: 2013 America East Recruiting Thread
Per Bingo's local paper....
Yacob, Richards sign letters Yosef Yacob with his National Letter of Intent. Bearcats men’s basketball recruits Yosef Yacob, a 5-foot-11 point guard from Chester, Pa., and Magnus Richards, a 6-foot-7 forward from Silver Springs, Md., each signed a National Letter of Intent to make their commitments official on Friday. Yacob, who attends Archbishop John Carroll in Wayne, Pa., gave a verbal commitment in September, and Richards, a post-graduate student at Fishburne Military School in Waynesboro, Va., did the same in October. Yacob averaged 12.8 points per game, 4.2 assists per game, and 3.2 rebounds per game as a junior. He earned Philadelphia All-Catholic League and All-Delaware County honors, and he also garnered second-team all-state for Class AAA. “I think the Binghamton faithful will be very happy with Yosef in the backcourt for four years,” Archbishop Carroll coach Paul Romanczuk said in September. Archbishop Carroll produced current Boston University point guard D.J. Irving and Niagara University guard Juan’ya Green. Richards attends Fishburne Military School in Waynesboro, Va. Richards played two seasons at James Hubert Blake High School before going to Fishburne. Magnus Richards surrounded by family as he signs a National Letter of Intent. Blake coach Marcus Wiggins is convinced the ceiling for Richards is sky high, saying in October, “He’s definitely one of the top 5 kids to play at Blake. That includes a young man who was the captain of the Pittsburgh team a few years ago, Jermaine Dixon.” Richards said he also received scholarship offers from Sacred Heart University and New Jersey Institute of Technology during the summer, but.BU coach Tommy Dempsey began recruiting Richards after he watched a Fishburne practice in the fall. |

Re: 2013 America East Recruiting Thread
Per RecruitScoop Twitter, Bing got a commitment from an impressive sounding big-man in Nick Madray. 6'9'' F from Canada, played at prep powerhouse Findlay Prep out in Las Vegas. Not sure what his offers were, but reportedly had quite a bit of BCS interest from Rice, Santa Clara, Boston College, Virginia, New Mexico State, and Syracuse. Think he had offers from Rice and New Mexico State.

E: so this is being reported at multiple places so I guess it's safe to assume this is true. I'm going to assume this is a really good pick up since I've never seen so much press about a binghamton player before Last edited by Binghamtonswag; 11-20-2012 at 12:55 PM. |

Re: 2013 America East Recruiting Thread
A colleague of mine put this video together about Matt St. Amour. It's lengthy but shows the variety of skills Matt possesses on the basketball court.

Looks like he'd really, really benefit from a post grad year at a place like NMH/Exeter/Vermont Academy or somewhere like that. Not sure if he wants to head to college next year or do a PG year, but I'd gladly take him at UVM in Class of 2014 when we have 6 scholarships available.
