Think everyone is in agreement on this- don't see anyone arguing the opposite.

Point is simply Orciari was far superior as a HS player, and it wasn't even close.

I was only arguing that as much as Tony was better in high school Coppenrath was better in college by more and that college should count more.

I'd agree with that as well.

Not to sidetrack this too much more, but I'd put St. Amour in the category of a Powlovich/Davine.

Had great HS careers, you know they are talented, not sure if they are D1 players, invite them to walk-on and see what happens.

I would like to see him walk on. I would be fine with him playing both sports if he was a walk on. I would let him know though that if he chooses 1 sport he has a better chance to get a scholly. It would prolly be best for him to see which sport shows more promise after a year playing both.

Here is a question I don't know how to answer. Lets just say for instance he goes to UVM and plays both. In terms of eligibility, can he play soccer his freshmen year, and for basketball redshirt his freshmen year and still have four years of bball eligibility?

I believe so. Didnt Conley play a year of football after he used up his 4 years of b-ball at UNH.

News for Vermont fans. 2013 offeree Calvin Crawford opened his final HS campaign tonight. The 6'7" 145 pounder came out fast with a triple double. Crawford had 11 pts, 10 rebounds, and 11 turnovers. His team is off to an 0-1 start.

He's a senior, but maybe he'll prep if he's really 145 lbs. (I saw one story said he was 160 last January)

6'7'' 145lbs? Yikes. I hope he's recovering well in the hospital. That can't be right.

I've seen a bunch of places say he's class of 2014/was a sophomore last season and some places say 2013/ he was a junior so it's not clear.

One thing is clear, if he's 2013 then we've passed on him. He probably would benefit from a year of prep though given his frame.

He is definitely a senior at a nys public hs right now. The 145 was an exaggeration - but he is a rail thin 6'7".

Yep, he's definitely rail thin. Reminds me of Malik Thomas on BU when he was red shirting.

Crawford is most likely going to prep. He is a super nice kid but I don't believe he will ever be more of a role player at the Division I level. He should set his sites in the Northeast 10.
