Re: 2013 America East Recruiting Thread
Rivals has reported that UMBC is offering 6'5" Jared Nickens, high school teammate of Chase Plummer and Jarell Lane at St. Patrick's High in Elizabeth, NJ. On one hand, he's getting offers from Seton Hall, St. Joe's and VCU. It would be nice to say we were able to snag a kid from those schools, but on the other hand, what will happen to UMBC between now and March 2013, when he's most likely going to make his decision?

Re: 2013 America East Recruiting Thread
Good tid bit: Andrew Chrabasz 13' who already holds an offer from UVM and Adrian Oliveira 13' are both RI natives who played together on the AAU circuit for many years before they left their local team and wound up on seperate sponsored team BABC and NE Playaz.

Oliveira is the kind of attacking, quick, strong PG we need. Brimmer is right around the corner from me and I was able to catch a game. From his Twitter, seems like he enjoyed his visit- enjoyed the crowd.

Re: 2013 America East Recruiting Thread
I think Chrabasz will end up going much higher than America East. Oliviera has been an underatted guy for awhile until joining Ne Playaz last summer and then started to take off. Sounds like he's starting to hear from bigger schools but I think he would be very good in the America East.

Re: 2013 America East Recruiting Thread
Also saw this on Dukes twitter page.....
"Princeton has now officially offered, the Tigers now join a list of seven offers. Truly blessed, however unsatisfied and in love w/ PATIENCE" Seems like Dukes is just waiting for a big offer. I'd be surprised if he doesn't get a half dozen of them.

Re: 2013 America East Recruiting Thread
dukes is def going to a big school. unsatisfied says enough. he would have to regress his senior year for us to have a shot. i think we can take ourselves outta of the dukes picture.
Adrian Oliveira though................ this is the kid we want at pg. he looks like a good talent and def could be our pg of the future. He comes to UVM he could be a 3 year starter. |

Re: 2013 America East Recruiting Thread
After July AAU season is over we'll know where Dukes is at. If he blows up, he blows up but if not I like our chance's as well as anybody's.

Re: 2013 America East Recruiting Thread
I always enjoy the AE smack talk, I don't chime in that much. But put this kid on your watch list Pavin Parish!!! Rochester High School,Rochester VT. NERR has him 2nd in the class of 2014 in VT. Kid just dropped 48 and scored 1000 as a soph. Get him of Rochester for his next 2 yrs and a year of prep and D1.
