Re: America East Basketball Predictions
While picking Albany 7th doesn't make any sense to me, I do see how Albany hasn't exactly earned the benefit of the doubt.
As for picking UNH and Maine over Vermont- like I say ever year when it comes time to do this on paper, I'll do the same once they start finishing ahead of Vermont in the standings. Until then, Vermont it is for me

Re: America East Basketball Predictions
I'm not going to throw out the entire list, but I predict Maine and UMBC play better than expected. UMBC can only be better than last year and they will be. Chase Plummer will have a breakout year and the rest of the team will benefit from the attention CDLR and Plummer get. Maine with Singleton, Mclemore, Fraser plus an underrated freshman class will surprise some people.

Re: America East Basketball Predictions
I'm inclined to agree with this prediction. If the three below Maine showed any more promise I might even drop Maine lower. These guys have put up 61 threes in their first two exhibitions, sinking 22 of them. On the nights the shots are falling, they might surprise, but when you live or die with the three, the odds are against you over the course of a season.

What would be stupid is someone who thought the only possible positions Albany could finish in is 3rd or 4th. I may have to go to a doctor tomorrow to make sure I am not sick as I essentially agree with UVMHoopcat from earlier (post 12) today. I would have SB as the favorite, but Albany, BU or UVM could go to the ncaa if things break right. UNH is a serious contender if things break right although I don't really expect them or represent the AE. Say 50/50 to finish in the top 4 as in a 4 team sample (UA,SB,BU, UVM ) someone will likely fall short of expectations. As far as I am concerned anyone that "knows" what is going to happen during the league season is kidding themselves. |

EDIT: BTW, I'm not saying my mind can't be changed or won't be changed, I remain open to being convinced otherwise. Can't wait for this season to get going...FRIDAY!

Re: America East Basketball Predictions
I think its more the fact that you both are taking too many drugs and are on a very bad trip right now. This is just wishful thinking on your parts for when SB beats UVM and Albany down twice each in conference play then probably spanks one of you in the conference tourny semis, unless youve been upset by then already.
