Re: Stony Brook @ Maine
i am really nervous about this game. Maine is supposidly talented enough to be the best team in the league. so i guess it really depend on which team shows up today. After hartford and a four game losing streak you would think maine would eventually right the ship. SBU on the road hasnt been to good.
IF the SBU bench plays like they have aginst UVM, UMBC, UNH, and Albany SBU wins by 8 if they play like they did against BU and Binghamton lose by 4. Its all about the bench! |

Re: Stony Brook @ Maine
If Woodward would remain on the bench as a spectator and let Leichner coach, then Maine might make a better effort and showing against Stony Brook. But, we all know that won't happen. What few Maine fans are left are tired, beaten and worn out of Woodward's inability to put his team in a position to win let alone compete!

Re: Stony Brook @ Maine
I've seen enough conference play where overall Stony Brook is the best team in the conference right now.
This is not the team that Maine needs to play in a bounce back situation. Got SBU by 8 or 9

Re: Stony Brook @ Maine
Even average defensive teams have figured out to stop Maine's offense and their limited number of plays. Just double up on Fraser down low and keep the Black Bears dribbling the ball. If you get back on defense and eliminate the transition game, Maine is toast.
Trying to stay out of foul trouble, Fraser has gone soft on defense and as a team, Maine doesn't box out and get rebounds. They also don't defend the perimeter. If this were Binghamton or UMBC, I might like Maine's chances more, but this is Stony Brook catching Maine at the perfect time. I'd say the Seawolves in this one by more than twenty. |
