Stony Brook @ Maine

Stony Brook travels to Orono in search of an upset away while Maine looks for its third (or fourth with a win tomorrow tonight) win in league play. After this game, SB will have played UVM, Albany, Boston, Maine so far four of the top 5 teams.

Stony Brook by five

There is no way Stony Brook is an underdog against Maine.

There is no way an SBU win would be an upset... not the way Maine is playing.

Seriously.

The way that Maine is playing right now........the Seawolves wins this one with ease 74-62.

Re: Stony Brook @ Maine

Stony Brook is not a good team away from home and with that in mind I thought it would be an upset. all of of you so far think otherwise so I guess i'm just wrong...

The town of Orono should throw a parade if Maine holds SBU to 74.

Re: Stony Brook @ Maine

Don't skip the Hartford game, as they play them first, and McLemore is going to go off on them from Teaserland!!!!!

He will look to rebound from the past few subpar games and light up the ArmPIT!!! Watch & see.

Re: Stony Brook @ Maine

I still think Maines starting 5 is very talented, I'm going with Maine by 4 as well. Outside of BU, no other contender has won on the road against the other 4.

This will be a solid road win for SBU. They play to hard for Maine and they are playing with confidence.

And that win was at Orono. I think Stony Brook is going to do the same and beat them by 5.

I see a bit of sand bagging going on here. If both teams were combined to make one team, the first three players selected would all be off Maine. After some stellar play, Brenton has quieted down and Dougher doesn't shoot well away from home. I see no way SB can win this game. Maine has too many weapons. Player of the year candidate and a player who has the Rookie of the Year award totally sewn up already.

You are forgetting a whole list of things:

1. Ted Woodward coaches Maine
2. Ted Woodward coaches Maine
3. Stony Brook plays much harder than Maine
4. Stony Brook is much more of a team than Maine
5. Ted Woodward coaches Maine
6. Gerald McLemore will shoot 38 times and make 5
7. Stony Brook is unselfish
8. Stony Brook rebounds the ball
9. Stony Brook plays defense
and lastly
10. Ted Woodward coaches Maine

I think that about sums it up...I don't see a way Maine wins. Maine can score, Stony Brook can play defense...defense trumps offense on just about every occasion.

You see no way? LOL...and you were accusing them of sandbagging.

Man, I love this board, not trying to be condescending.
