Re: 2012-13 OOC Schedules
I don't think URI has played them once since they went D1. Rhody has no long term history of playing Bryant every year as it does with instate rivals Brown and PC. Given the A-10 has rules about scheduling based on RPI's, I think URI has opted not to play them given their usually very low rating.

Re: 2012-13 OOC Schedules
Good luck with that. PC would never agree to something like that unless it hosted it every year at the DDC, its season ticket holders got their premo seats, and they pocketed most of the money. Rhody will not participate in such an unequal event.

Re: 2012-13 OOC Schedules
Well, I support Rhody/PC rivalry and having it rotate between the Ryan Center and the DDC. But a double header should be hosted at the DDC. It's the largest venue and is near 3/4 teams and is the state capital. As far as the tickets and revenue, I guess that's the big issue that will never be resolved, but I just think it would be good for Rhode Island. I'd like to see Rhody start playing Bryant annually at the Ryan Center poor RPI or not.

Re: 2012-13 OOC Schedules
Given Ed Cooley is also a Providence native, and was an assistant at URI, maybe it has a better chance then it would have in the past? Maybe not though, really don't know.
If Providence is playing AT Brown this season, that's telling me something.

Re: 2012-13 OOC Schedules
Looks like Harvard is going to be significantly less of a marquee game this year. There was that big campus-wide cheating issue and it looks like Kyle Casey and Brandyn Curry were involved and will not play this season:

Re: 2012-13 OOC Schedules
Ordered my UVM/Harvard tickets for Nov. 27th. Great seats still available. Harvard was a TOUGH ticket to get last season, not sure if that will be the case this season, but still I'd get on it if you're thinking about going.

Quote:
A quick look at Bryant’s non-conference slate shows games at Providence College (November 12) and at Brown (November 21), but no game against the state’s other Division One program URI. Would O’Shea like to play the Rams? “It’s not that we don’t want to play URI, but we have to look at what will help us the most. I need to bring in a certain amount of money to the program and we can get more by playing at Indiana, Providence and Boston College than we can by playing down at the Ryan Center. Plus, we probably get a bit more exposure playing those teams.” Read more at: http://www.golocalprov.com/sports/os...-be-unleashed/ |

Re: 2012-13 OOC Schedules
which AE game vs a top OOC team has the best chance to win in order to help the conf rpi?
Not that they are even close to the top, but Hartford could knock off lowly ASU out of the weakest BCS conf in the country. Also UNH over a weak BC program is a possibility, but ho-hum. UVM over Harvard would have been the only real points getter, but not after the fallout in Cambridge. Other than that I don't see any potential wins that could help the rpi unless SBU knocks off MD or Seton Hall, which I don't expect to happen. After that it's back to AE play and then the elevator shaft will really fall I'm afraid. See ya in Dayton

Re: 2012-13 OOC Schedules
Harvard's games against St. Joes and UVM are going to be on TV on NBC Sports:
http://www.gocrimson.com/sports/mbkb...102_NBC_Sports Harvard still has talented players and I'll know more after our first few games, but right now definitely expecting this to be a winnable game given Harvard's losses of Casey/Curry- not to mention graduation of Keith Wright and McNally.

Re: 2012-13 OOC Schedules
Towson was beat up pretty good by College of Charleston in its season opener, losing 75-58. UVM plays both of these teams at home this season.
Kind of surprising since Towson has 3 Big East transfers on its team this season- one from Georgetown, South Florida, and Providence. All 3 started. Skerry can bring people in- but can he coach them?

Re: 2012-13 OOC Schedules
Saw BU is making George Washington play at Case Gym on Saturday. I guess BU no longer feels it has to try and impress the A10- or maybe because it's because GW is coached by Lonergan
![]() Looks like only one game will be played in Agganis for the Terriers this season- last regular season game against SBU. Will they use it in the Patriot League? I guess for Lehigh and Bucknell maybe (?)
