SEC has a ban on one year transfers but one and done freshmen are fine? I sense some hypocrisy there.

I'm going to keep it going b/c I'm genuinely interested in where Oriakhi ends up. He's going to be an impact transfer for someone. He's a huge reason UConn won the NCAA title last year.

I'm going to stay with it until Salty starts the "Anthony Davis to UVM" thread.

Re: Alex Oriakhi to Stony Brook

Someone very closely resembling Alex was spotted at a popular Long Island eatery near a major university recently. I do not think this was just a coincedence.

That's fantastic! Maybe that major university will actually win a game that very closely resembles a conference championship!

(before someone accuses me of being arrogant again, this is good natured teasing)

Re: Alex Oriakhi to Stony Brook

Apparently there are 10 schools involved, and he's going to be visiting Kentucky and Missouri soon. North Carolina and Duke will also be involved.

Sounds like his father said priorities are starting and going to be team that will make big dance.

He'd probably start on many of the AE teams but only UVM will be going dancing next year and UVM doesn't always start their best players......

Re: Alex Oriakhi to Stony Brook

Here's a recent update from Zagoria on Oriakhi, couple of interesting things to come out of it:

*Said he's met with Pitino, and Pitino told him he's only going to have two kids returning- sounds like entire Kentucky team is entering draft

*Met with Kentucky coach, Xavier coach, and Missouri coach.

*North Carolina and Duke will be visited

*Washington out because it's
too far

*Oriakhi also thinks Lamb and Drummon will enter draft.

*Didn't say anything about meeting with Pikiell and Stony Brook, I am positive that article will be forthcoming.

Plumlee announced he was returning to Duke so Oriakhi but Duke from his list, obviously.

In case this hasn't been posted already:
Quote:
Missouri coach Frank Haith has landed a high-impact transfer in former Connecticut center Alex Oriakhi, who confirmed in a text message Friday that he will attend Missouri in the fall to play his senior season.

Re: Alex Oriakhi to Stony Brook

Thanks for the heads-up. Even though AO has made his choice and disappointed countless SBU fans we should keep this thread going until it hits 11 pages. It's almost the least we can do.
