Regular season champ hosts the tourney, tourney champ goes to the ncaa. Maine still has a 4 game home series left with SBU. Before that they are hosting UA this weekend and going to UA next weekend.
Most iof this is readily avaialble on the AE site or school sites.

As far as not playing the Bingo-Maine rained out games. Obviously not ideal, but bad weather happens. Isn't Bingo renovating their field and using other fields this season. I could probably look up the status of that, but I did not. If there are it makes moving the games up like they did for UA at UMBC more difficult.

It sounds wrong nonetheless. Games should be postponed but never cancelled... But I don't think you should throw Maine's conference season away just because they cancelled two games. It can actually turn out for the better. What if Binghamton ended up sweeping the four game series...

At the end of the day, its going to come down to the Stony Brook-Maine series in a couple of weeks @ Orono. That should be exciting to watch...
At best that will determine the location at which UAlbany ends SB season, but still a lot of baseball left before I even concede that point.

Ya, we are useing Cornell Field in the mean time, and used NYSEG stadium in Binghamton once. I bet if we got to host we would use NYSEG stadium assuming the Binghamton Mets were not using it.

Re: OT Baseball

SBU Baseball ranked in the top 30 by NCBWA, the only Northeast school, ahead of Clemson, Auburn, Coastal Carolina...

http://www.sportswriters.net/ncbwa/poll/

how legit is this ranking? I don't know much about the NCBWA....

It's baseball's version of the AP poll. In other words, pretty damn legit.

Re: OT Baseball

But for those who like the RPI, Stony Brook is ranked 118

http://www.boydsworld.com/baseball/rpi/currentrpi.html

Ratings of 5/5, before SBU split with Bing today, while Albany swept Maine.
